Family Time

The other evening, all the kids and I were in our sunroom.  Rather than doing their homework in their own rooms at their own desks, they all congregated together.  We'd talk a little, then they'd get back to their work.  We'd crack a joke, then work some more.  The whole evening took longer than usual.  It was definitely inefficient.  But it was so wonderful to see how everyone gravitates toward being together.  All those years of homeschooling have definitely paid off.  Each one in our family is so bonded.  Everyone feels safe and appreciated.  We all want to be together.  It is lovely to have such a delightfully inefficient evening every once in a while!
